Qubeley Mk II Elpeo Ple Frame by Bang-Doll-SSI Qubeley Mk II Elpeo Ple Frame by Bang-Doll-SSI
1/100 AMX-004-2 Qubeley Mk II Elpeo Ple Custom

This is the resin kit from G-System. It was supposed to be my entry for the 2011 e2046 contest, but I finished it a week too late to make the deadline. Oh well. =(

Here are two shots of the inner frame of the Qubeley before the armor pieces go on.

Enjoy!

Which lines exactly? Do you mean the panel lines, or something else? Just wanna be sure before I give advice and it's not even what you're asking about. =)

Ah, I see. I just used a permanent marker with a very small tip (.25mm) and drew the lines in. Here is the marker: [link]

Yeah, that's the thing is to make sure they're permanent, water-proof markers. A lot of markers aren't-- so always check that they say so. Just remember also that markers aren't opaque, but translucent... so the colors will only show up on white. Otherwise, they'll just look black (like how a colored marker doesn't show up on correctly on paper with dark colors). But anyway, yep, I think you'll like them! =) A way to help them stick even more is to spray on some matte coat first so the surface isn't so slippery, then just seal it in with a matte top coat.

Ah so the G-System one also had an inner frame pretty much like a MG. Interesting.

True. It copies the MG frame's set up almost perfectly (I was working on Ple Two's MG Qubeley before dropping it to build this one), by not having any inner frame work on the arms, etc. But I can also say that they didn't just copy the Bandai frame either. G-System used the Bandai version as inspiration, but went their own way in the actual execution. =)

ah that's a nice thought. Saves G-system the trouble of lawsuits too.

Is it supposed to be feminine? Because it looks like it has a corset on to me. Whether or not it is supposed to, it looks like an intriguing model kit to me! An interesting design, for certain.

Yep, all the Qubeley pilots are girls. First was Haman Karn, the female villain of Zeta and Double Zeta Gundam. The Mark II (this one) was piloted by girl Newtype prodigy Elpeo Ple. The Mark III (a current project I'm doing) was piloted by her clone, Ple Two. On top of that, there were 12 more and *they* were piloted by 12 more clones of Elpeo Ple. So a girl's machine for a bunch of girls. lol

A moment that completely sums up Ple's personality is this scene from Dynasty Warriors Gundam where she decides to imitate Domon from G Gundam (lol). Note the movements of the Qubeley when she celebrates... ;-)

Oh dear. That was rather entertaining. I made me laugh a bit because it was almost completely stereotypical in the sense of the character. And the mobile suit almost reminded me of a rather large beetle the way it maneuvered across the field. Very entertaining. It is a rather fun design. :)

Dynasty Warriors Gundam is a lot of fun because it allows characters who have died tragically to kind of coexist across universes/ timelines in this big free-for all (Shin, Kira, and Lunamaria are in part 2). In the actual ZZ Gundam anime, Ple starts out as a goofy, boppy girl, but becomes a tragic figure when she dies sacrificing herself to save the protagonist (Judau) from her own clone Ple Two (who is MUCH more hard edged and focused). In typical Gundam fashion, Ple Two then has a change of heart and dies in the end also helping Judau.

Watching the two Qubeleys move and act, you can definitely tell who's piloting which one. Ple's skips along and acts "girly", while Ple Two's moves in a more determined "lady-like" fashion. lol

Aw, that's kind of sad, but in a neat way because it's almost like they are resurrected. I've wanted to try playing this game, perhaps I'll get it at some point. It sounds fun. :D

Haha, that would happen. Well, you have to distinguish them some how!

I highly recommend both the original and the sequel. Both games have official missions based in the UC universe. Then the first game has a crossover story where everybody gets pulled through time-space to a weird planet and work together in different factions. The second game has lots of character-based missions. The third game hits the US in June-- it also includes characters from Unicorn, 0083, and 00. I can't wait!

They're also great "couples" games since they all have split screen two player co-op for the missions. Me and Jackie sunk in almost 200 hours into part 2, so I think it would be a blast for you guys too. Plus you get to learn more about the characters and MS as you go. =)

Unicorn, woot! He's probably my favorite gundam so far. But I haven't seen all of them yet so I guess that's kinda short sighted haha.

Wow. That's a long time. But I guess its just what you do when you're having fun! I know ~waitingtoolong can play Halo/Mass Effect for ages. I'm working on it haha. I'm new to the gaming world. And that would be really cool!
